Join the Monroe Historical Society Dec. 16 for holiday dinner and
presentation on Monroe’s Matthew House

The Monroe Historical Society invites the community to its quarterly
membership meeting and holiday gathering Thursday, December, 16 2010 at the
Tualco Grange. Matthew House Executive Director Linda Paz will be the guest
speaker. Matthew House is a non-profit prison ministry serving families at
the Correctional Complex in Monroe, WA.

After the presentation, the winning names will be drawn for the Historical
Society’s annual quilt fundraiser. This year, the winners will receive
either a king-sized quilt sewn by the Queen Bee Quilters of the East County
Senior Center or a smaller lap-size quilt.

A holiday dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. before the presentation at 7
p.m. Turkey will be served and guests are asked to bring a side dish, salad
or dessert to o share. All donations collected during the event will go to
Matthew House.

The Tualco Grange is located at 18933 Tualco Road, just outside Monroe
across the Lewis Street Bridge. All ages are welcome. For more information,
