2011 Home Tour features gems on Rucker Hill

The historic home tour starts at the Van Valey House. Eight classic
homes are featured on this annual self-guided tour which has become a
favorite Everett event. Learn about their history and restoration
process that makes each home unique. Receive your guide book on the
day of the event.

As part of the Home Tour event, the 3rd annual Restoration Fair for
homes showcases two dozen exhibitors at the Trinity College Commons
(the old Bon Marche) at 2802 Wetmore Ave. and includes 'Antiques
Sideshow' appraisals for your treasures all day--free with the tour.

Regional experts on home restoration are part of the Historic Everett
Home Tour & Fair on Sept. 10, 2011 from 10am-4pm.
Homeowners can learn from professionals how to update or renovate just
one small project or their whole house. Exhibitors help explain what
it takes to fix up their classic house.

Guests can bring house photos to identify it's style as Craftsman or
Dutch Colonial or a basic box style by members of the Everett
Historical Commission.

Specialists will demonstrate the best ways to refinish furniture,
restore historic tile and flooring, fix double-hung windows and
reconfigure a more useful floor plan.
