well known traditional old time musicians The Canote Brothers in Index,
The concert is presented in partnership with the Index Historical Society
and the Ethnic Heritage Council.
7:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013

The Canote Brothers are masters of the Anglo-American tradition of old time
string band music. Their concerts are an entertaining mix of fiddle tunes,
country songs and swing, performed with a healthy dose of humor and
good-natured mischief. Some may remember their live radio show on KUOW
from the 1980s, Sandy Bradley and the Small Wonder String Band, broadcast
from Murphy’s Pub. Don’t miss this evening of great music and guaranteed
Suggested admission to the concert is a donation of $5.00, collected at the
event. There will be no advance ticket sales. The April 20th concert is
funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, ArtsWA (formerly the
Washington State Arts Commission) and Northwest Heritage Resources. Most
of admission donations will go to support the Index Historical Society.
