Wings Over the Skagit:  Skagit Regional Airport’s Role in World War II

The Burlington Historical Society’s (BHS) and the Heritage Flight Museum
will commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII with a special
presentation: “Wings Over the Skagit – Skagit Regional (Bay View) Airport’s
Role in WWII”.

The Heritage Flight Museum

Skagit Regional Airport
Tuesday, June 23, 6:00-9:00pm.

Admission is $5 per person and includes a museum tour from 6:00-7:00pm and
a program about the airport’s history from 7:00-8:00.
The event is not a museum fly day but a special history event for the
community.  Retired US Air Force pilot and military aviation historian,
Will Stein of Whidbey Island, is the guest speaker. Local and regional WWII
veterans are especially invited to share memories of our local airport
during the war.

Directions: From Highway 20 or Peterson Road, turn onto Higgins Airport
Road, then Crosswinds Drive, the Museum is the blue hangar building at the
end of Crosswinds Drive.  Parking is available in front of the building.
