The Skagit Hydroelectric Project:
6 Dams and 1 Genius
La Conner – Join us *Sunday, November 22nd* from 2 to 4 PM to hear the
story of Seattle City Light’s heroic construction of the Skagit
Hydroelectric Project.  *Please note – this is a change of date so that
people can be free to attend the memorial service for Skagit* *historian
Noel Bourasaw*.

Dr. Jesse Kennedy will describe the six dams that Seattle City Light built
as a public utility to provide electricity to the growing city of Seattle.
The little known genius of the driving force behind the project, James
Delmage Ross, will be described from his search for gold in the Klondike to
the creation of the first radio station in Seattle and his search for the
element Measurium.



The Museum is located at 501 S. 4th Street, at the top of the hill in La
Conner. Admission: Adults $5, Seniors $4, Families $10. For more
