1840-1869

Skagit Valley Genealogical Society presents:
Trails West: Crossing the Continent 1840-1869

Before the transcontinental railroad was completed Easterners and
Mid-Westerners began to settle the West. How did they get there and what
was the journey like? Skagit Valley Genealogical Society's (SVGS) June 11
guest speaker is Mary Kircher Roddy. She will discuss the overland and
water routes used by our ancestors with descriptions of the journey and
using clues to discover how and when our ancestors traveled.

SVGS meets Saturday, June 11, from 1-3pm at the Burlington Senior Center,
1011 Greenleaf Ave. (Use the east entrance). The featured guest speaker is
Seattle area genealogist, Mary Kircher-Roddy, presenting: “Trails West:
Crossing the Continent 1840-1869.” The program is free and everyone is
