our Monroe’s Historic Homes on Saturday, Nov. 4

The Monroe Historical Society is presenting its second Historic Homes Tour
Saturday, Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the
society with all proceeds going to maintain the museum and keep it
operating as a free attraction and resource in the community.

Six beautiful homes are on the Nov. 4 tour including the 1903 Streissguth
house

The event is self-guided, rain or shine, and begins at the 1908 Monroe City
Hall Building and Historic Museum at 207 E. Main Street in Monroe. A tour
of the museum is the first stop.

Tickets are $10 per person and are available online at

Tickets may also be purchased the day of the tour at the museum at 207 E.
Main Street in Monroe.
Those who purchased tickets online will receive a tour guide and map which
will serve as admission to the homes.

Most of the homeowners will be at their homes during the tour to answer
questions about their restoration efforts. Refreshments will be available
at the museum and all ages are welcome.
